NHS Alcohol Rehab – Bristol Rehab Centre
NHS Alcohol Rehab – Bristol Rehab Centre. NHS Alcohol Rehabilitation. The NHS do not have any alcohol rehab clinics in this country. Instead, they are usually inclined to privately fund patients in need of treatment. This however is only a last resort. It will be after all the other (cheaper) methods of treatments have been tried. As resources and few and far between. You could be waiting a long time to receive treatment. In recent times, the NHS has begun to encourage therapies such as the AA – believing that ‘peer-led’ therapies are often very effective.

From our feedback from you
From the feedback we are getting from 100’s of people who ring in with an addiction to alcohol or drugs. Their doctor sees them as a waste of an appointment, and the hospitals see them as a waste of a bed. I can understand that. But we must remember addiction is an illness and not something someone has choose to get involved with. Also I can see the publics perception on it as well. This is mainly due to TV programs. When you watch that ambulance program on TV, and there are people with life threatening injures, and desperate for an ambulance. Then a 999 call comes in. And it is someone who is drunk or drugged up that has fallen over at home or in the street and requesting an ambulance.
